HSSMI Welcomes New Manufacturing Strategy Specialist Ray Mills to the Team

We are delighted to announce that Ray Mills will join the HSSMI team in January 2021 on a part time basis as Technical Specialist in Manufacturing Strategy.
Ray brings a wealth of knowledge and experience from the automotive sector, having worked for over 40 years across major vehicle and powertrain programs for Ford and JLR.
He has previously held a number of senior positions at both OEMs. This includes: ‘Senior Manager for new programs, Global Powertrain’ where he oversaw the implementation of JLRs future powertrain strategy in Electrification. Prior to that, as ‘Senior Manager for assembly production engineering’, Ray built a team to engineer and globally install new JLR engine assembly facilities. In this role, he was directly responsible for the design, purchase and launch of six entire engine assembly production lines in India, China, and the UK, without missing a deliverable deadline or losing time.
Ray Mills says about joining HSSMI, “at this stage of my career, it is so exciting to be given an opportunity to use my experience to influence the leading-edge projects that HSSMI are involved in. I hope to positively influence the team whilst continuing to broaden my learning in new technologies.”
